Vollebak Unveils Its All-New Firefly Jacket
Designed to change color throughout the day and night.
London-based outerwear brand Vollebak has just unveiled its latest creation, the Firefly Jacket — and it’s designed with two color-shifting membranes.
As one of Vollebak’s most future-facing designs to date, the jacket is infused with a phosphorescent compound, while the other is built with a fluorescent compound. This allows the jacket to change color throughout the day and night as the light conditions change around it; meaning the jacket can appear in a slew of shades, from copper and orange to glow-in-the-dark green and yellow.
Designed to be worn in any condition, the Firefly Jacket is fully seam sealed, while the zips are waterproof and velcro is added to the straps on both sleeve cuffs so they can be fastened tight in heavy rain. Meanwhile, there’s an elasticated drawcord at the waist and a hidden elasticated drawcord in the hood, both of which can be tightened at high speed.
Rounding off the design, Vollebak adds two large side pockets to the jacket, and both are protected by storm flaps that curve down at the bottom to help rain roll straight off.
