During an exclusive invite to the Land Rover House in Park City, Utah, we got some personal time with the 2024 Range Rover Sport and its more exclusive Park City Edition brethren.

For starters, the Range Rover Sport – which was announced in 2022 – is arguably the perfect sized SUV for everything. Naturally, its setting of Park City, Utah, helped us to understand that, as it was more than capable in the snowy atmosphere hauling all of our ski gear while also catering to our Après-ski lifestyle needs. Our Dynamic SE model arrived in Ostuni Pearl White and had just a hint of colorful metallic fleck showing, offset by black trim pieces and the subdued 22” Satin Dark Grey Style 5127 wheels which we gravitated towards naturally. Pops of color at the Land Rover badge and the sexy, thin rear tail lights again reinforced the excellent choice of a white metallic paint – this would be our choice configuration for sure.

It’s often said that black interiors are “standard” or “common” but Land Rover’s interior in our opinion is perfect in black, or “Ebony” as they title it. Fit and finish of course are top notch, and the perforated leather seats made for an ultra comfortable ride while still keeping a sporty upright position. Touch points came in a mix of materials and textures, like the metal paddle shifters and soft touch dash, all of which felt expensive to say the least. And while there were a few things we noticed that were a bit surprising – a tiny rear view and a less-than-stellar experience with the Bluetooth connection – overall the inside of the Range Rover Sport was a place we highly enjoyed and could see us being comfortable for long trips, easily.

While we were out in Utah, we were given an exclusive look at the Range Rover Sport Park City Edition limited model. How limited? Seven units. Such a rare edition was an eye-opener for sure, but we were happy to learn that it’s more than just an ultra-rare edition you’ll never get your hands on.

The first thing to notice about the Park City Edition is its satin matte paint, which the brand calls “Ethereal Frost Silver” that’s meant to mimic the shade of the snow-capped mountains of Park City. The exterior is contrasted with a Narvik Black roof as well as the excellent carbon fiber-inlayed wheels in its massive 23” size. Side step entrance rails extend as you open the door, and inside you’re bathed in a two-toned leather arrangement in Ebony/Light Cloud – an elegant combo for the discerning consumer who needs something unique. A specialized plaque denoting “1 of 7” cements that you’re in something very special. Lastly, the Park City Edition utilizes a PHEV hybrid arrangement for power and efficiency, and is capable of 53 miles on the electric powertrain alone.

The Park City Edition Range Rover Sport – while extremely limited – gives back to the Park City Community Foundation with monetary donations from each unit sold. Pricing for the Park City Edition starts at $169,000 USD, while the Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE model starts at just over $90,000 USD.
