Y-3

Y-3 is a collaboration label between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, a Japanese designer known for his avant-garde designs and striking silhouettes launched in 2002. His collaboration with adidas was incepted in 2002, with the aim of bringing Yamamoto’s sartorial aesthetics to the adidas brand. Fusing high fashion with advanced sportswear, Y-3 exhibits fashion shows twice a year at New York Fashion Week, each time developing its trademark aesthetic of black-on-black pieces accented with the adidas Three Stripes branding. Y-3 has a popular range of sneakers as well, with its widely acclaimed Qasa silhouette receiving many reiterations since its release in mid-2013.
