With Spring on the horizon, a collection of brands are already presenting new footwear designs that can be stepped in until the summer. The likes of Nike, Jordan Brand, New Balance, ASICS and more are all readying sneakers for the turn of the season, but before we outline what drops are coming over the next seven days, let’s jump into what’s dominated the headlines over the past week.

Kicking things off on the feature front, the Hypebeast team gave a full on-foot recap of New Balance’s Sounds of an Icon series, while Japanese streetwear icon, Hiroshi Fujiwara, spoke with the team about his new collaboration with Cole Haan.

Moving onto the traditional news, Hypebeast readers got a first look at the Nike LeBron 21 “Cool Grey,” while official images of the Air Jordan 4 “Fear” also surfaced. Additionally, Nike offered a first glimpse at 2025’s Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Olive” and the Swoosh also added a floral heel pin to the Nike Dunk Low.

Moving away from Nike, New Balance offered a first look at the 991v2 “Silver Blue” and Clarks Originals and Engineered Garments also created the Desert Khan EG. Rounding things out, ASICS and Wood Wood collaborated on the Understand GT-2160 and Suicoke presented its new Spring/Summer 2024 collection to keep people talking.

The Gendo Run is the latest sneaker to be released under the adidas Y-3 umbrella, with the sleek silhouette complemented by a suede cap at the very front of the shoe alongside transparent mesh. Three Stripe branding then hits the lateral sides of the shoe. while the entire upper is constructed out of nylon. mesh and underpinned by a suede outline and nylon strip that features the customary Yamamoto signature.

Why You Should Cop: Nike and Jordan Brand are gearing up for the Spring more than ever, offering fresh colorways of its most iconic silhouettes. The Jordan Air Ship is the latest sneaker to be reworked by Jordan Brand, with the shoe hit with “Rust Pink,” “Sail,” and “Gamma Green” shades. Additionally, the shoe is also designed with a white leather base, while further “Rust” pink detailing is added to the nubuck overlays and customary Swoosh logos. Rounding off the design, white “NIKE” embroidery is added to the lateral ankle.

New Balance T500 “Light Arctic Grey”

The sleek design made a strong return to the shelves in the latter half of 2023 — with a slew of vibrant colorways and a collaborative version with Aimé Leon Dore — and now a slew of general release iterations of the shoe are soon to be available. Originally a part of New Balance’s 1982 Technology Transfer Court Collection, the latest version of the shoe pays homage to ’80s tennis styles, while it also features pigskin suede detailing and a nubuck construction on the toe box.

Jordan Brand understands this, and in turn, continues to keep golfers prepared with new Air Jordan Golf shoes. The latest to come from the brand is the Air Jordan 9 Golf “Cool Grey,” which transforms the Air Jordan 9 into a stylish and practical golf footwear option. Made from an understated combination of different leathers, the shoe also features a white midsole and a transparent outsole fitted with customary spikes for increased stability and traction. Each fresh design consistently offers something different, whether that be through unique colorways or the technology used to make playing basketball better. The latest drop from Nike is the “Blue Diver,” and it builds on the popularity of the “Algae” edition worn during LeBron’s 40,000-point feat. The new design of the “21 Diver” features a melange of blue tones, while a collection of perforations is used to provide enhanced breathability. Meanwhile, the heel tabs and breathable mesh tongues sit alongside the cushioned rubber outsole to finish things off.

This has been done once again for Reebok’s Court Victory Pump, with the sneaker making a fresh return following its original release in 1989. Michael Chang originally endorsed the sneaker back then, and now the design stays true to its original form, featuring the 1990 color scheme as well as the custom-fit Pump bladder and unique tennis Pump ball tongue. Rounding off the design, Reebok adds a checkerboard graphic and “REEBOK TENNIS” embroidered tongue alongside Hexalite cushioning and TPU accents.

BEAMS x New Balance 550

Why You Should Cop: BEAMS and New Balance have come together to launch a special edition version of the New Balance 550, titled the “Indigo.” The design is a fresh take on 1980s basketball shoes, however, the shoe also combines a retro approach with a streetwear-appropriate design suited for today. Meanwhile, the shoe also taps into the DNA of BEAMS, drawing inspiration from Japanese dip-dyeing, which allows the sneaker to combine the various shades of blue. The time has finally come for those waiting in anticipation, with the vibrant combination of shades making its way onto the Air Jordan 3 to complete one of the most highly-anticipated sneakers of the year so far. Presenting a combination of black, “Green Glow,” “Wolf Grey” and white, the shoe is hit with a black tumbled leather base with glowing green accents as the main highlights, Elsewhere, the shoe’s distinctive elephant print overlay takes over the toe cap, eye stays and heels to finish things off.

For this latest version of the shoe, ASICS keeps things fairly understated, combining a slew of grey tones that sit alongside a blacked-out GEL cushion. Branding is then added to the lateral sides, heel counter, and tongue pull, while a sturdy combination of grip is added to the sole of the shoe to keep things practical.
