Founded in 1921, Gucci was known for its Italian-made luggage and leather goods until it was reinvigorated by designer Tom Ford during the 1990s. Under the stewardship of its current creative director, Alessandro Michele, the label is now best known for its eclectic styling, historic references, and freewheeling approach to gender fluidity, and has become one of the world’s most lucrative — and widely imitated — luxury houses.
The Italian designer took over Gucci’s Hub to mark his grand entrance, going back to the House’s century-old roots while keeping things fun and ready to party.
