For this holiday season, Acqua di Parma is inviting guests to check into the fictional Grand Hotel Sprezzatura, an imaginative alpine retreat where Italian hospitality, theatrical storytelling and festive fragrance converge. Celebrating its 110th anniversary, the Italian fragrance house has collaborated with multidisciplinary artist Agostino Iacurci to create a colorful visual universe inspired by the Dolomites and the effortless elegance of sprezzatura, the Italian art of making even the most elaborate gestures appear natural.
Drawing on the theatrical traditions of Commedia dell’Arte, Iacurci imagines a cast of hotel characters whose personalities unfold through bold geometric compositions. Inspired by the modular logic of Tangram puzzles, his illustrations combine architectural facades, mountain silhouettes, expressive masks and playful human figures, transforming the collection’s packaging into a series of interconnected visual stories. Rendered in vibrant yellows, oranges, blues and earthy tones, the designs reinterpret Acqua di Parma’s signature aesthetic through a festive, surrealist lens, capturing the warmth and eccentricity of an imaginary Italian mountain getaway.
At the heart of the collection is a series of limited-edition Masterpiece objects named after the hotel’s fictional protagonists, Alfredo, Clementina and Tobia. Handcrafted and painted in Tuscany, the ceramic creations encompass refillable fragrance bottles, candles and diffusers, distinguished by stacked geometric forms, sculptural finials and character-inspired silhouettes. Produced in editions of just 200 pieces, each object bears Iacurci’s signature alongside the Maison’s branding. The wider holiday assortment introduces seasonal home fragrances in Bosco, Panettone and Torrone, evoking the atmosphere of an Italian winter through references to woodland landscapes and traditional festive sweets.
Candles and diffusers arrive in decorated glass vessels featuring distressed gold-leaf detailing, while three signature fragrances – Colonia Il Profumo, Buongiorno and Zafferano – receive special Designer Edition packaging. A particularly elaborate highlight is the Advent Calendar, reimagined as a miniature Grand Hotel Sprezzatura with stacked cylindrical architecture, opening windows and illustrations of snowy trees, alpine scenery and eccentric hotel guests. Extending beyond fragrance, the Holiday 2026 collection introduces two Italian-made design objects under Acqua di Parma’s Art of Living line. The Olé Pocket Comb & Mirror pairs tortoiseshell resin accessories with a tan calfskin leather charm and signature yellow resin sphere, while the Decidi Tu Polyhedric Glass Object is crafted from mouth-blown borosilicate glass and designed for multiple uses, including holding stick candles, matches or fragrance diffuser reeds.
