Summary

  • A.P.C. and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design is launching a denim-focused collection inspired by cinematic icons like Charlie Chaplin and Paul Newman.
  • Releasing May 19, 2026, the collaboration features co-branded raw denim, “Canadian Tuxedo” interpretations, and minimalist basics marked by the brands’ combined lightning bolt and guitar logo.

Even though A.P.C. just dropped its Brain Dead collaboration, we’re already looking forward to its next “interaction,” which will be a special denim-forward collection with fragment design by Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Across a range of garments and accessories, Fujiwara’s knack for cinematic influences, and both brands’ affinity for denim are expressed with subtlety: a jacket silhouette inspired by Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times and an homage to Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, with trousers finished by a rubber stripe at the leg. The stripe detail also lends itself to their interpretation of the “Canadian Tuxedo” (a term for denim-on-denim jacket-trouser pairings), mirroring the detailing of traditional tuxedo pants.

Each of the deep indigo garments features a bright white embroidered emblem that combines Fragment’s lightning bolt and A.P.C.’s guitar icon into one logo. Springing from the friendship between Fujiwara and A.P.C’s Jean Touitou, the collection also discreetly features their embroidered initials HF and JT, as soon as on the panelled Oxford shirt. In the wider collection, the selection of raw denim pieces will be accompanied by white and indigo cotton tees, hoodies, and chinos, each featuring the collaborative wordmarks. Standout accessories include a raw denim hat and a tote bag to complete the look.

The A.P.C. x fragment collection is set for release on May 19, 2026, via A.P.C. stores and online.
