Summary

  • Moncler Grenoble’s FW26 show in Aspen blended 1950s nostalgia with Western influences, featuring American plaids, fringe, and cowboy hats alongside traditional European floral embroideries.
  • The collection balanced high-performance technical gear with “quiet luxury” textures like shearling and tweed, debuted alongside a new flagship opening and a Shaun White collaboration.

For FW26, Moncler Grenoble brought its audience to the historic American ski destination, Aspen, Colorado. Across nearly 100 looks, the luxury European label dialed in on its mountain gear roots through a nostalgic lens inspired by 1950s outdoor styles.

In addition to supermodels like Gigi Hadid and Mathieu Simoneau, who walked the runway, the front row was filled with familiar faces, including snowboarder Shaun White, who showed a new WHITESPACE collab, Blackpink’s Jennie, and actor Adrien Brody. The brand also marked the opening of a new Moncler Grenoble flagship in Aspen, where a host of other luxury labels have set up shop in recent years.

Contrasting with Grenoble FW25, the collection features less monochromatic styling, leaning into more textured fabrics and ornate details. While floral embroideries and geometric intarsias recall the brand’s European heritage, American plaids, wide-brimmed cowboy hats, and suede fringe root the collection in America’s Western heritage. Models wearing checked flannel shirts, faded performance denim, and workwear-inspired silhouettes echoed the themes of classic Midwestern style, while others in layers of wool fabrics, knitted sweaters, corduroys, and shearling linings paid homage to mountaineer fashion.

The more traditional looks are balanced with the high-performance, contemporary styles Grenoble is known for today. The middle of the presentation showcased a bright red technical ski kit complete with a snowboard and goggles, and an all-white look centered on a unique puffer featuring camouflage-like leaf cutouts. Elsewhere, monochromatic green and brown ski looks have a quiet luxury appeal, blanketed in solid colors and full-coverage silhouettes.

Towards the end of the collection, the coziest looks come through with heavy knitted sweaters and accessories, textured tweed coats with fur trims. A range of womenswear looks closed the presentation, introducing pink and violet hues to the collection through micro-floral patterns and knitwear.
