Ovrkast. x Samara Cyn Link Up on "Small Talk"
The rapper’s first release of 2025.
After popping out at Saba‘s Blue Note Jazz Club show over the weekend, as a guest in the crowd rather than a guest performer, rapper Ovrkast. has teamed up with Samara Cyn on the new single “Small Talk.”
The duo’s first-ever link-up and Ovrkast’s first new music of the year, “Small Talk” is a jazz-imbued hip-hop cut, punctuated by hi-hats and striking lyricism.
“Small Talk” lands after a major 2024 for the emerging rapper. Ovrkast. teamed with Cardo for the captivating collab tape KASTGOTWINGS, which he followed up with an opening run for MAVI on his headlining shadowbox tour.
As for Samara Cyn, she recently connected with Sherwyn on “Pop n Olive” for her first release of 2025. Last year, Cyn dropped off her impressive longform studio debut, The Drive Home, which has since propelled her to one of today’s hottest emerging artists to keep an eye on.
