PUMA has unveiled the Fast-R NITRO Elite 3, a new variant following the release of the Fast-RB Nitro Elite in 2024. The shoe underwent extensive testing in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Wouter Hoogkamer, demonstrating a 3.15% improvement in running economy over its predecessor, the Fast-R NITRO Elite 2. This innovation translates to saving approximately 4.5 minutes in a 3-hour marathon, highlighting its advanced performance capabilities.
Featuring a new NITROFOAM™ ELITE compound, the Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 enhances cushioning and responsiveness for optimal race-day performance. As PUMA’s lightest race shoe to date, it incorporates breathable ULTRAWEAVE material for comfort and efficiency. Designed to bolster confidence, it ensures support from the start of the race through to the finish line.
The Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 will debut in limited quantities at The High Point, PUMA’s Boston Marathon experience at Marathon Sports, from April 18 – 20, 2025.
