Aimé Leon Dore Nods to '90s NYC for SS25 Drop 4
Bringing the OG style and swagger of the five boroughs back to modern-day Manhattan.
For its Spring/Summer 2025 delivery, Aimé Leon Dore has drawn ample inspiration from the style codes and aesthetics of the 1990s. While the second drop leaned nineties nautical, the New York City imprint is looking to its native city streets for its fourth SS25 offering, tapping one of five borough’s flyest guys to front the lookbook and campaign video.
With longtime friend of the brand and rising fashion content creator George Davies at the collection’s centerfold, ALD’s fourth seasonal delivery extrapolates Davies’ youthful energy and urban adolescence and translates them into a cohesive and creative new compilation of menswear garments.
“It teaches you a lot about the world before you’re really in the world yet,” the 14-year-old Tribeca native said of growing up in Manhattan. ”It’s taught me to be independent, to be kind, to not always be annoying to people who aren’t kind to you.”
Seeking to embrace an effortless aesthetic (often embodied by city kids like Davies), the new range relishes in breathable textures and fuller, relaxed silhouettes. Notable pieces include the distressed Gallery Hoodie, equipped with raw hems for a lived-in, unfinished feel, as well as the Striped Leon Overshirt, now landing in a more roomy “Leon” fit,” and a lineup of layerable, breathable knits.
On the footwear front, ALD offers up a new colorway of its NB 990v6 Made in USA model, this time around landing in a new “White with Sea Salt” colorway. ALD also presents its Taverna Loafer in shades of Mocha, Créme and Black.
