The uproar at Paris Fashion Week has officially begun. Christian Dior kicked off the second afternoon of womenswear shows with an angelic journey through time, taking ownership of Paris’ Jardin des Tuileries to showcase its Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

Christian Dior opened the golden gates of Jardin des Tuileries to mark the first chapter of a new storyline: “Once Upon a Time.” The fashion glitterati stormed inside the venue to witness another magical range by Maria Grazia Chiuri, and it did not disappoint. The designer peered into the evolution of femininity, paying tribute to Dior’s creative director from 1989 to 1996, Gianfranco Ferré.

Chiuri takes a trip through space and time by analyzing Ferré’s revolutionary vision, opening with a singular white dress found swinging from a dangling chair center-stage. The collection quickly moved into antiquated yet modern formalwear, presenting lace-trimmed dresses with a sculptural edge. Corseted blazers bloomed with floral embellishments, while all-black uniforms were layered with retro J’adore Dior tees revived for 2025.

Ruffled shirting and inflated coats walked the runway with a medieval aura, making us feel like we’d entered Dior’s golden age. The collection moved into its second chapter with two-dimensional flowers on zippered sets and glossy trench coats as birds and boulders flew above the wide-eyed crowd. Shredded motorcycle jackets, feathered zip-ups, and laced equestrian boots dazzled with every step before closing with a few metallic, bedazzled, and sheer numbers.
