OVERCOAT‘s sophisticated silhouettes have already rolled out for summer, including a gradient-splashed Peter Miles collaboration, but the New York brand isn’t slowing down. Simultaneously taking to a series of pop-up events in Japan, OVERCOAT has introduced its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, a cohesive co-ed affair indebted to the theme of “SOFTER,” a motif that hints at the balance of formal and casualwear presented therein.

The namesake outerwear of OVERCOAT is in rare form, with generous coats served in glen check patterns and fuzzy faux fur alike, all realized with clever cuts that wrap around the human form to protect it from the elements without obstructing it. Glittering gold layers are interspersed among the brand’s quarter-zip pullover sweaters, liner-style jackets and signature shirting, mirroring the sheen of OVERCOAT’s preferred silky nylon overshirts. The otherwise muted palette allows the brand to focus on the accessibly advanced silhouettes, expanded with transformed staples like relaxed blazers and large corduroy trousers.

Keep up with the label by way of OVERCOAT’s website.

Other NY-based brands that recently spotlighted their seasonal collections include KOZABURO and Maryam Nassir Zadeh.
