COPSON & Converse Reveal Friends & Family Custom Chuck 70s

“A blissful space for connection.”

London-based label COPSON has announced an ongoing partnership with Converse, beginning with two friends and family exclusive takes on the Chuck 70 silhouette. The high-top sneakers come in two colorways — a classic black version alongside a pastel pink design — with the silhouette chosen due to its long-term counter cultural significance.

The stand-out design feature of the sneaker is COPSON’s logo patch, which appears on the left shoe in each pair. Each of the 60 pairs made is packaged in an exclusive shoe bag designed by SALT Textiles, a London-based studio that focuses on the slow processes that go into each object. Every bag produced by SALT is dyed using food waste from a local restaurant and, because of this, each one is unique.

The friends and family Chuck 70s mark the start of a wider partnership between Converse and COPSON, which will focus on “feeling over product” and has been described as “a blissful space for connection.” Over time, the relationship between the two brands will include a film and supporting zine celebrating their shared skateboarding heritage, before culminating in a European retreat focusing on “the concept of good life, and what it means to look at your inner world as well as your outer world.”
