'Detective Pikachu' Will Be Available in North America in March
The game will come with a giant Amiibo double the size of a standard Pikachu.
An upcoming action-adventure game titled Detective Pikachu is launching worldwide on Nintendo 3DS March 23. Announced on Friday, the game features a talking Pikachu who works as a detective. Not only that, Pikachu drinks coffee and is double the size of a regular Pikachu. In the game, Detective Pikachu helps a boy named Tim find his father.
The game was initially released in Japan in 2016. Currently, a live-action adaption of the game is in the works, with Ryan Reynolds casted as voice actor of Detective Pikachu. The movie’s screenwriting is handled by Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman and Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch will co-write the film.
In addition, the game comes a giant Amiibo that’s nearly double the size of a standard Pikachu. Watch the trailer for Detective Pikachu above.
