The design’s logic is immediately legible. The Trojan Horse is the pivotal object in the story The Odyssey is built around: the Greeks constructed a giant wooden horse, concealed soldiers inside, and presented it as a gift to Troy, whose citizens brought it inside the city’s walls without knowing what was hidden within. The bucket inverts that history with appropriate absurdity — instead of Greek soldiers, the stomach contains popcorn, and instead of a siege, what tumbles out is a snack. The hatch mechanism means the popcorn does not sit in the horse’s back or top but emerges from its midsection, which is either the most or least dignified way to eat popcorn at a Christopher Nolan film, depending on your perspective.
