  • Girard‑Perregaux unveils the Laureato Chronograph 42 mm “Chocolate,” limited to 50 pieces
  • Its features include a brown Clou de Paris dial, rose‑gold accents and an ergonomic rubber strap
  • Powered by the in-house GP03300 caliber, the watch retails at $29,000 USD

Girard-Perregaux has revisited the bold spirit of the ’70s with the release of the Laureato Chronograph “Chocolate,” a sophisticated two-tone interpretation that merges sporting intensity with refined aesthetics.

Arriving in a 42mm case size, this model pays tribute to the decade of the Laureato’s birth by reviving the classic two-tone theme that defined the era’s watchmaking style. Crafted from high-grade 904L steel, the tonneau-shaped case provides a crisp, architectural foundation that contrasts sharply with the warm, luxurious hues of a rose gold octagonal bezel, crown and pushers.

The standout feature is its chocolate brown dial, finished with a Clou de Paris hobnail motif that complements the rose‑gilt hour-markers and baton‑style hands. The integrated brown rubber strap, also embossed with the hobnail pattern, ensures ergonomic comfort while reinforcing the watch’s sporty character.

Powering the Laureato is the in-house GP03300 caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement that can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback. Comprising 419 components and 63 jewels, the movement features high-level horological finishes such as circular graining and Côtes de Genève, delivering a minimum power reserve of 46 hours. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters, further solidifying its status as a robust tool for understated luxury.

Limited to 50 examples, the Laureato “Chocolate” will be available through Girard-Perregaux, retailing at $26,000 USD.
