Returning to Geneva for its second official participation in Watches and Wonders, BVLGARI reinforces its standing as a master in expressing the art of time. The Maison’s newest novelties showcase is a celebration of creative passion that amalgamates the mechanical mastery of Switzerland and the unrivaled aesthetic obsession of Italy. Centered on the Art of Shape, the collection explores the duality of gold and steel, the miniaturization of high-performance calibers, and the continuous metamorphosis of its most magnetic icons. This avant-garde vision invites an immersion into a world where ancient Roman architectural geometry meets a futuristic digital ecosystem, all while pushing the limits of horological engineering.
Serpenti Tubogas Studs Capsule
The Serpenti Tubogas Studs Capsule marks a charismatic return to the Gold & Steel story that defined BVLGARI’s visionary 1970s era. This capsule brings jewelry and industrial design into an expressive dialogue, punctuating the sensual, hypnotic silhouette of the serpent with the sharp geometry of the “clou” stud. These pyramidal facets are drawn from the Maison’s jewelry archives, transforming the supple Tubogas coils into a sculptural masterpiece that wraps instinctively around the wrist. The union of opposites – the nobility of gold meeting the industrial strength of steel – reinterprets the iconic reptile as a modern object of desire.
The collection unfolds across four distinct limited editions, each testifying to the Master of Colors ethos and featuring vibrant hardstone and iridescent mother-of-pearl dials. One variation pairs radiant yellow gold with the deep red depth of carnelian, accented by studs paved with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds. Other versions explore the bi-color aesthetic, where yellow or rose gold bezel settings and studs contrast against polished steel bracelets and faces of green malachite, blue sodalite, or shimmering mother-of-pearl. Driven by a precise quartz movement, these 35 mm timepieces are finished with a cabochon-cut pink rubellite set into the crown, embodying a pioneering spirit that projects heritage into the future.
Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon Platinum
In 2025, BVLGARI captured the horological world’s attention by setting its 10th world record for thinness with the titanium Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon. This year, the story reaches a more exclusive chapter with the debut of the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon Platinum, a masterpiece measuring a near-impossible 1.85 mm in total thickness. While the record-breaking dimensions remain, the transition to platinum – a metal prized for its density and nobility since the days of King Louis XVI – redefines the watch with a more profound, weighty presence. Shaping platinum at this extreme scale is an immense technical challenge, requiring specialized expertise to maintain the collection’s radical elegance within such a strong yet malleable frame.
This timepiece is distinguished by a striking blue PVD coating on its skeletonized hour and minute counters, a vibrant signature that contrasts against the monochromatic brilliance of the platinum case and integrated bracelet. Within this 40mm frame beats the hand-wound manufacture caliber BVF 900, a flying tourbillon movement operating at 4 Hz with a 42-hour power reserve. Every millimeter of the movement is a canvas for innovation, from the original galvanic treatment on the mainplate to the steel ratchet wheel engraved with geometric decoration. Limited to a prestigious series of just 10 pieces, this creation serves as a benchmark for contemporary high watchmaking.
Serpenti Aeterna
Proclaiming a metamorphosis into a manifestation of pure form, the Serpenti Aeterna represents the sublimation of BVLGARI’s most magnetic sign. Freed from figurative expression, the icon is distilled into a tension of radiant gemstones and solar yellow gold, acting as a manifesto of pure form projected into the future. The high-jewelry version is a breathtaking masterpiece of goldsmithing, sheathed in 122 rare colored stones, including rubellite, amethyst, emerald, and Paraíba tourmaline. This exuberant palette is perfectly orchestrated within 225 hours of development, where the vibrancy of the gems is captured by the trace of scintillating white diamonds following the serpent’s silhouette.
In a sophisticated departure, BVLGARI also reveals the Serpenti Aeterna for the first time in plain yellow gold, a solar metal that heightens the watch’s taut yet curved sculptural form. This iteration balances precious refinement with everyday ease, featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial and diamond accents at the head and tail that echo the bracelet’s fluid curve. Both variations of this 24 mm quartz timepiece utilize a radically stylized reptilian head and openworked hexagonal scales on the bracelet to bathe the stones in light, creating an extraordinary jewel that celebrates movement and the sheer joy of color.
