  • Starring Camila Morrone, the narrative explores the terrifying dread of lifelong commitment and wedding paranoia

  • Executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, the eight-episode thriller is slated to premiere globally later this month

Netflix is expanding its original horror catalog with the official trailer drop for Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen. Created by Haley Z. Boston and executive produced by Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, the highly anticipated eight-episode limited series promises a chilling, atmospheric take on the deep anxieties of impending marriage.

Described as horror’s dark interpretation of a woman becoming a wife, the narrative centers on Rachel, played by Camila Morrone, who is just five days away from her wedding. Alongside her fiancé Nicky, portrayed by Adam DiMarco, the couple embarks on a road trip to his family’s secluded snowy vacation home to host an intimate ceremony. However, prone to superstition and overwhelming paranoia, Rachel is unable to shake a relentless foreboding feeling. A series of eerie coincidences and dreadful surprises soon force her to question the true nature of soulmates and the terrifying reality of committing to the wrong person.

Joining Morrone and DiMarco, the project features a massive supporting cast including Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine, Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, and Sawyer Fraser. Boston serves as the overarching showrunner, while Weronika Tofilska handles directing duties alongside Aexelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann. Steering directly into the psychological thriller space, the atmospheric series adds a major heavy-hitting project to Morrone’s massive television run this year.

Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen drops March 26 via Netflix.
