fragment design and RAMIDUS have officially revealed the RANSEL 2027, an elevated take on the traditional Japanese school bag. Seamlessly blending heritage aesthetics with contemporary daypack functionality, Hiroshi Fujiwara’s latest collaborative effort prioritizes lightweight utility without sacrificing premium design codes.

Crafted with longevity and daily use in mind, the RANSEL 2027 is equipped with a premium cowhide leather flap that proudly bears an engraved fragment design logo. To combat the elements, the natural leather flap is treated with a protective Scotchgard finish, while the bottom of the bag features a durable PVC coating. The structural integrity of the classic silhouette is preserved, yet upgraded with tech-forward hardware that bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern utility.

Ensuring ease of use for its primary demographic, the bag is fitted with a FID LOCK magnetic closure system for effortless opening and securing. Subdued, tonal reflectors are integrated into both the side panels and shoulder straps, providing essential safety and visibility. Inside, the backpack caters to modern schooling needs with a dedicated tablet pocket, a security buzzer hook, and a clear zippered compartment. The fully adjustable strap system is specifically engineered to adapt to a child’s growth, guaranteeing a comfortable fit over a six-year lifespan.

The fragment design x RAMIDUS RANSEL 2027 drops for online pre-order on April 4 via RAMIDUS TOKYO STORE.
