FILA FW26 Celebrates Color, Heritage and True Milanese Style
With creative director Alistair Carr unearthing the refined FILA MILANO line at Milan Fashion Week.
FILA’s sporty design codes have confidently taken over Milan this year. After outfitting Italian athletes at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, the brand recently brought its recognizable blueprint to the city’s fashion week schedule with a forward-thinking Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
Showcased amidst a playground of glowing pillars, the latest range looked to channel the rhythm of the European metropolis by translating everyday movement into a dynamic array of FILA MILANO garments. The respective line was revived specially for this season’s collection, inspiring elevated takes on sleek bomber coats, shirt jackets, waterproof trousers and lightweight knits, all matched and layered to create functional outfits.
With the brand celebrating its 115th anniversary this year, signature pieces also made an appearance on the runway. Zip-up track jackets and blousons arrived with wide nylon gussets while polo tops came in several iterations such as cropped cuts and color-blocked styles. These stylistic features flowed through the remainder of the range as vibrant blue, red and white tones washed over smarter silhouettes and alternative drapes were given to sporty shorts and skirts.
While FILA typically focuses on clothing in its runway showcases, the latest collection is complemented by a bold array of footwear creations. Taking an experimental approach to the design codes, in the men’s line, low-profile sneakers are adapted with velcro fastenings and neutral tones, and the women’s line offers fitted leather boots not too dissimilar from knee-high biker shoes. Other accessories include riding gloves, aviator glasses and structured bags, tying into the modern imagination of Milanese style.
