Summary

  • Reverie by Caroline Hú has officially presented its Fall/Winter 2026 collection, an emotional and highly tactile lineup inspired by aged garments and the comforting vessels of our memory
  • A major focal point of the runway was the debut of an exclusive collaboration with Crocs, which sees the brand’s signature Bae Clog reimagined with cracked knitted uppers and hand-embroidered silk ribbon flowers
  • In a deliberate departure from fashion week conventions, the presentation completely replaced traditional runway models with acclaimed dancers Emma Portner and Matt McCreary

For Fall/Winter 2026, Caroline Hú turned inward, exploring the profound attachment we hold to the fragile, everyday objects that shape our lives. While the garments delivered a masterclass in delicate, time-intensive construction, it was the footwear—specifically a highly anticipated new collaboration with Crocs—that grounded the latest Reverie presentation and completely stole the show.

At the emotional heart of the FW26 collection lies a deeply personal artifact: a worn, threadbare, and impossibly soft towel the designer has kept since birth. Using this quiet emotional anchor as a starting point, Hú treated her textiles as organic surfaces, building them up layer by layer. Hand-distressed cotton mesh was left delicately frayed, while intricate embroidery techniques recreated cloud-like textures. Hú relied on a romantic, instinctual method of construction, harmonizing more than a dozen contrasting materials within a single garment—including fake flowers coated in silicone and enmeshed in layers of tulle.

Echoing the collection’s themes of tenderness and rupture, the footwear proved to be a definitive highlight. The runway served as the first official preview of an upcoming exclusive collaboration with global footwear powerhouse Crocs. Hú completely reimagined the signature Crocs Bae Clog through her directional, romantic aesthetic. The collaborative clogs feature custom knitted uppers designed to create a unique cracked surface effect. From these intentional fissures, delicate silk ribbon flowers emerge, each one meticulously hand-embroidered onto the shoe as a symbol of beauty and life rising from fragility.

To fully capture the emotion woven into both the garments and the footwear, Hú made a brilliant departure from standard runway formatting. Traditional models were entirely replaced by dancers, featuring a breathtaking performance by acclaimed movement artists Emma Portner and Matt McCreary. Their intricate choreography transformed the physical runway into an emotional stage, expanding the storytelling dimension of the collection and allowing the complex, layered silhouettes to be viewed in dynamic motion.

By merging profoundly personal storytelling with innovative textile manipulation and a highly covetable footwear collaboration, Reverie by Caroline Hú has delivered one of the most poetic and memorable presentations of the Fall/Winter 2026 season.
