The 2026 Formula 1 season is officially underway, and the LEGO Group is making sure Scuderia Ferrari fans have something massive to celebrate. Kicking off the Australian Grand Prix weekend in Melbourne, LEGO unveiled two brand-new helmet display sets faithfully recreating the 2025 protective gear worn by star drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
To properly announce the upcoming releases, LEGO brought the designs straight to the track. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were spotted walking through the Melbourne Grand Prix paddock carrying massive, 10-inch-tall life-sized versions of their respective LEGO helmets. Designed by LEGO Certified Professional Ryan “The Brickman” McNaught and his team, each of the one-of-a-kind scaled-up builds took 60 hours to construct, weighing nearly 3 kg and utilizing well over 3,500 bricks.
For fans looking to bring the F1 action home, the retail versions of the display sets are packed with intricate details. The 886-piece Charles Leclerc Helmet (Set No. 43014) prominently features his driver number 16, the iconic Scuderia prancing horse, and heartfelt tributes to his father and Jules Bianchi. Meanwhile, the 884-piece Lewis Hamilton Helmet (Set No. 43022) faithfully captures the seven-time world champion’s unique driver number 44. Adding an extra layer of exclusivity, both sets include a printed signature plaque and mark the very first time both drivers have been officially recreated as LEGO minifigures in their red Scuderia Ferrari HP racing suits.
“The unique curves and intricate details from the helmets presented a fascinating opportunity, and our team worked passionately to ensure every aspect was captured,” shared John Ho, Model Design Master at the LEGO Group. “Seeing them come to life, in a new scale, in Melbourne in the hands of two of the best drivers in the world is such a proud moment for the whole team.”
F1 enthusiasts and LEGO collectors alike won’t have to wait long to add these historic pieces to their shelves. Both the Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Helmet sets are currently available for pre-order, with an official global launch set for May 1, 2026.
