The beef is back, but this time, the battleground is much more exclusive. Netflix has officially dropped the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second season of its Emmy-winning anthology series Beef. Trading the explosive road rage of Season 1 for the passive-aggressive, high-stakes world of an elite country club, the new installment introduces a completely fresh, star-studded cast caught in a devastating web of coercion and class warfare.

Moving away from the two-character feud that defined its acclaimed debut, Season 2 expands its scope to tackle an intergenerational clash. The new season’s official logline follows a Gen-Z couple, Austin Davis (Charles Melton) and Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny), who work as lower-level staff at a luxurious country club. Their lives are quickly upended when they become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their Millennial boss, General Manager Joshua Martín (Oscar Isaac), and his wife, Lindsay Crane-Martín (Carey Mulligan), after witnessing an alarming fight between the pair.

The newly released trailer perfectly sets the tone for the ensuing chaos, juxtaposing the pristine, wealthy environment with the simmering tension underneath. As Isaac’s character ominously notes in the footage, “The golf, the courts, the exclusivity, the discretion. People need a place where they can feel safe, where they can pretend everything is okay. It’s the land of make-believe.” Of course, that pristine bubble doesn’t last long, as the teaser quickly spirals into shouting matches, smashed property, and intense power plays.

As the two couples plunge into a dangerous game of favors and manipulation, they are forced to vie for the approval of the club’s intimidating Korean billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Academy Award winner Youn Yuh-jung), who is struggling to manage her own scandals. Behind the scenes, creator and showrunner Lee Sung Jin returns to helm the new season, with Season 1 stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong remaining on board as executive producers alongside A24.

Following its massive sweep at the Emmys and Golden Globes, the sophomore outing of Beef is easily one of the year’s most anticipated television returns. All eight 30-minute episodes are officially scheduled to hit Netflix on April 16, 2026.
