British designer Daniel Lee closed London Fashion Week with a sweeping tribute to the city he calls home. For Fall/Winter 2026, Burberry staged its show inside a former Victorian fish market along the banks of the River Thames, drawing a crowd that included Stormzy and Barry Keoghan.
In a theatrical nod to the capital’s famously unpredictable weather, guests stepped carefully over puddles en route to their seats — an immersive detail that set the tone for a collection rooted in London’s rhythms. Celebrating 170 years of Burberry, Lee sent the house’s iconic Check on a nocturnal journey from Hackney to Mayfair, mapping the city’s layered identities after dark. “We all walk the same roads. We’re all lit by the same streetlamps. We all feel the same buzz of the city at night,” Lee noted in the show notes.
A ruffled reinterpretation of Burberry’s signature trench coat opened the runway in pale grey, soon followed by midnight-blue versions distorted in scale — some exaggerated, others sharply cropped. Leather boiler suits, quilted moto jackets, and olive-green tuxedos dissolved into the dimly lit set, while plush fur-trimmed coats and rich burgundy bombers brought depth and drama presented by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Romeo Beckham.
Sleek yet subversive, refined yet rebellious, Burberry FW26 captured London in all its contrasts. Lee observes the capital through rain-slicked streets, hushed conversations, and electric possibility shimmering beneath the stars.
