Ranra Autumn/Winter 26 Reinvents Urban Outerwear
The collection, inspired by the naturally occurring Nordic wonder, beeswax, was just unveiled during CPHFW and CIFF.
Born out of Reykjavik, Ranra often considers seasonality within its design ethos. Collections commonly fuse function with considerate craftsmanship, yielding pieces that can traverse both natural and urban environments. For its Autumn/Winter 2026 range, the design studio brought forth a collection defined by tailoring and winter-ready silhouettes — but the star of the show wasn’t really one specific ensemble — instead, a stand-out source of inspiration: beeswax.
The resource is a regional staple — a material that’s informed by the region’s history, and which now finds itself embedded into the wellness, art and fashion industries. Paying homage to the naturally occurring material, the collection highlighted it as a tool that can be used to seal leather and wool, ensuring a waterproof finish. Beeswax also represents resilience, a key theme of the collection, which was made to endure the region’s harsh winters.
Ranra returned to an emphasis in tailoring, highlighting relaxed-fit suiting, blazers and trousers in both earthy neutrals and brighter jewel tones — reminiscent of the flowers that bees harvest at the beginning of the beeswax creation process. As outerwear is a key category for the menswear label, leather layers, bomber coats and the brand’s classic silk jackets were unveiled on the runway, alongside colorful knitwear and button-downs.
A puffer jacket style, accented by a fur-lined hood, accompanied a few of the outfits — this stood in as a core design within the assortment. In totality, the looks were meant to echo the organic landscape of the region the brand hails from, while paying homage to the innate practicality of beeswax — the naturally occurring Nordic wonder.
