Woman and Creature Are One at Kiko Kostadinov FW26
Twin sisters Laura and Deanna Fanning presented a fresh selection of tabi-toe ASICS on the runway.
What does it mean to see and to be seen? That was the question at the heart of Kiko Kostadinov’s womenswear show, designed by twin sisters Laura and Deanna Fanning, on the eighth afternoon of Paris Fashion Week. For Fall/Winter 2026, the duo examined womanhood through a surreal lens, imagining a bond between woman and creature moving through the streets of global cities.
The collection drew inspiration from Tale No. 46, Fitcher’s Bird by the Brothers Grimm, alongside Cindy Sherman’s 1992 photographic series of the same name. Feathers became a central motif, appearing across powerful silhouettes that balanced strength with transformation. The opening looks featured reworked camouflage paired with armor-like outerwear and slouchy, glossy leather boots.
Textured dresses brought fluidity to the lineup, while fur-trimmed anoraks, feathered suede trucker jackets, and zippered burgundy suits asserted themselves with confidence. Bold color clashes followed — light blue colliding with orange on plunging knitwear topped with split hoods — alongside V-neck knits, long-haired coats, and warrior-like gilded gowns.
The collection closed with a fresh selection of metallic tabi-toe ASICS, grounding the fantastical narrative with a technical edge that felt perfectly at home in the Kostadinov universe.
