Trapstar Revives Its "Red Line" Range After a Decade for Spring/Summer 2026

A poignant repurposing of enduring pain that pays tribute to “true Sensei” Nico Trapstar Kubisch, who passed away halfway through the Samurai-inspired collection’s creation.

After 10 years, West London imprint Trapstar has elected to revive its “Red Line” range for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. A collection two years in the making, the reimagined Red Line presentation lands as a poignant byproduct of deep, enduring pain, the label suffering the loss of designer, close friend, and creative mentor Nico Kubisch halfway through the crafting of the collection.

Rooted in the concept of “Through tragedy, beauty is reborn,” the Spring/Summer 2026 range sees the outfitter repurpose the pain of the last year into a new vision for Red Line – one that revels in not only Nico’s legacy, but through the lens of Samurai culture.

Themes of “honor, integrity, and anonymity within brotherhood” are infused throughout the Red Line SS26 collection, along with physical homages of Nico’s true Sensei-ship. Certain pieces carry a patina and weathered finish, a metaphor for “age, wisdom, and resilience.”

“Nico brought a high-fashion sensibility to a global brand, leaving an imprint that helped define the Trapstar aesthetic we recognize today,” explain the collection notes. “Though he designed alongside them for numerous shows, he never walked the runway. He was someone who accepted his flowers privately, away from the public eye.”

Craftsmanship shines through the entirety of the enticing delivery, each garment handmade in Italy.
