Summary

  • COS’s FW25 collection at NYFW featured 47 minimalist looks with a sophisticated, age-agnostic aesthetic.
  • The collection blended austere, modern tailoring with cozy, classic fall fabrics like checks and shearling, using a palette of black, charcoal, and navy.

COS brought its FW25 collection to NYFW, landing at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn. The collection was presented against a stark white stage, where the models wore 47 looks characterized by an age-agnostic minimalism, updated with classic Autumn themes.

In line with its minimalistic ethos, the label stuck to a sophisticated color palette including rich black, charcoal, and deep sea navy. The subdued colors allow the diversity of the silhouettes to shine, ranging from sharp tailoring to beautifully draped garments.

The more austere tone of the collection, represented by matte and lustrous solids, is warmed up by cozy Fall-forward fabrics, including various checked patterns and shearling outerwear. Materials like basketweave knits and chenille are used to add warmth to the look as well as a tactile quality.

The contrasts of futuristic austerity and poetic nostalgia are both evident throughout the collection: A black two-piece suit features a collarless blazer and a buttonless placket, while elsewhere, robe collars and flowing capes evoke the aristocracy of olden days, or even ascetic vestments.

The COS FW25 collection is now available at COS stores and cos.com, with limited quantities continuing to drop throughout the season.
