After unveiling a special 30th anniversary Eco-Drive limited edition last month, Citizen is back with the latest addition to its Promaster series. The Promaster Sky U830 builds on more than three decades of professional sports watch heritage, marrying aviation-inspired aesthetics with cutting-edge hybrid functionality.
Housed in a 43 mm stainless-steel case, the Sky U830 is available in polished silver or a bold black finish. Its dial echoes the Sky lineage with three molded sub-dials arrayed at 12 o’clock and a slender, pilot-style slide-rule bezel for in-flight calculations. Contoured lugs – drawing inspiration from aircraft wings – flow seamlessly into a matching stainless-steel bracelet, while a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, luminous hands and indices, and 20 bar water resistance ensure rugged reliability on land, in the air, or at sea.
At the core of the Sky U830 beats Citizen’s new Caliber U830 movement, which pairs traditional analog hands with a high-resolution Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) digital display. This ana-digi fusion lets pilots and global travelers access world time, a running chronograph and multiple alarms directly on the screen, all without compromising the watch’s streamlined profile.
Prices range from $635 – $795 USD, the Citizen Promaster Sky U830 is currently available via its official online stores and authorized dealers.
