Marvel Studios debuted a brand new clip from the highly-anticipated The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The one-and-a-half-minute clip offers a closer look at the First Family’s dynamic as they prepare for their weekly Sunday dinner. Like a good older brother figure, Ben/The Thing tells off Johnny for eating cereals right before dinner, reminding him that it’ll ruin his appetite. H.E.R.B.I.E, their robot companion, rings the bell to signify that dinner is ready, but Sue and Reed arrive just a few seconds late.
The couple are erratic as they sit with the rest of the family, prompting Johnny to question their behavior. Ben stares quietly with an inquisitive look on his face as Johnny interrogates them, before finally asking, “Are you pregnant?” Sue and Reed admit that they indeed are, and they celebrate the new addition to their family. Johnny is ecstatic and praises his sister’s ability to be a great mom, tells Reed that he’s out of his “depth,” and calls him and Ben as “the best uncles ever.”
The upcoming film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Also joining the main cast are Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus.
