Buchanan Studio’s Outdoor Collection brings its acclaimed Studio Chair and Stool out into the open air, seamlessly merging sculptural form with weather-ready functionality. Handmade in England by Angus and Charlotte Buchanan’s award-winning practice, each piece preserves the original’s playful curves and refined lines while embracing the easy elegance of year-round al fresco living. The result is a robust, open-air interpretation of Buchanan Studio’s signature bohemian sensibility.
At the core of each chair and stool is a marine-grade timber frame engineered for outdoor resilience. Hidden drainage channels and breathable mesh bases promote constant airflow and prevent water buildup, while a waterproof inner lining safeguards the upholstery from moisture. Powder-coated springs, stainless-steel staples and rust-resistant screws complete the specification, ensuring lasting performance and enduring craftsmanship no matter the elements.
Upholstered in Buchanan Studio’s debut Wild Fabric Collection – an Italian-woven range of 100% Trevira CS performance textiles – the Outdoor pieces arrive in classic Studio Stripe™ in Dawn Pink, Deep Blue And Khaki; versatile plains in Chalk and Khaki; and the new Box Check in Red. These fabrics are fade-resistant, water-repellent, mold- and stain-proof, yet retain a soft, natural hand that suits both interior and exterior settings.
