The wait is finally over. The global phenomenon that is K-pop phenom BTS has officially confirmed its highly anticipated full-group comeback, announcing plans for a new album and an expansive world tour set for Spring 2026. This landmark news was delivered directly to their devoted ARMY via a livestream on Weverse, marking the first time all seven members have broadcast together since September 2022. The announcement follows the recent completion of mandatory military service by all members, with Suga being the last to be discharged on June 21, 2025.

The K-pop septet revealed that work on their new album will commence immediately. “We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year,” the group stated. “Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.” This album will be their first group release since 2022’s anthology Proof, and their last studio album Be from 2020. They are reportedly heading to the United States this month to begin working on the new material.

Alongside the new music, BTS also confirmed their first world tour in nearly four years. Their last tour, “Permission to Dance on Stage,” concluded in 2022, drawing over 4 million attendees across various formats. The upcoming tour promises to be a massive global event, allowing the members to reconnect with ARMYs worldwide. “We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are,” they shared. This dual announcement solidifies 2026 as the year of BTS, promising an unprecedented return to the global stage.
