Update: JJJJound has released official details for the release of its next ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14, confirming the launch slated for next week. Official images show the two colorways in detail: White/Midnight, with its white mesh, metallic silver overlays, Midnight navy details, and Vibrant Yellow accents; and White/Black/Blue, which boasts baby blue accents, muted black details, and a grey midsole section inspired by the vintage KAYANO’s “DUOMAX” tech. The freshly dropped images also show closer shots of the insoles, stamped with dual ASICS and JJJJound wordmarks. The new collaboration launches next Thursday, June 12th, starting at 11 AM EST on JJJJound.com and select retailers.

Now, following the duo’s unveiling of a new take on the GEL-QUANTUM 360, we have a more complete idea of what to expect from their third take on the GEL-KAYANO 14. As described in our initial breakdown below, a white mesh base serves as the backdrop to the upper. From there, black and silver overlays shine across the sneaker. A light blue hue adds a pop of color to the lining and GEL cushioning while a JJJJound wordmark hits the lateral heel. Release details still have not been shared, however, it’s likely to launch soon.

Original Story: On the heels of March’s reveal of the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 Unlimited Pack – with the first release of the pack landing last week in the “Mist/Cream” colorway – ASICS is enlisting seasoned collaborator JJJJound to contribute to the storied silhouette for the pair’s third link-up as a unit.

The latest JJJJound x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 preview arrives roughly seven months after JJJJound’s Justin R. Saunders lifted the veil on the pair’s first-ever footwear collaboration, in the form of the limited edition JJJJound x ASICS GT-2160 sneaker, and three years after the designer’s initial foray into the GEL-KAYANO realm.

Signalling the third collaborative sneaker from JJJJound and ASICS, the JJJJound x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 comes dipped in a sleek silver and white colorway, complemented by subtle co-branded hits and blue accenting. In classic ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 fashion, the shoe comes finished off with supportive, visible GEL-cushioning.
