As Nike Basketball has continued to expand its lineup of Kobe Protro models on the market, more colorways are still coming to reintroduced silhouettes. The Kobe 5 Protro remains in steady rotation with special PEs for stars like Jalen Brunson and Caitlin Clark, as well as upcoming general release drops.
A new rumor report from the insiders over at SneakerMarketRO has expanded the list of pairs to anticipate, touching on the 2026 calendar. It’s now expected that the Kobe 5 “Lower Merion Aces (Away)” will be dropping in Protro form in early 2026. The colorway dropped in 2010 as a tribute to Kobe Bryant’s high school and fetches a pretty penny today. Look for it to likely sport the same color scheme of “Metallic Silver” at the base of the upper and “Team Red” at the midfoot paneling, Swooshes, lining, laces, heel signature, and the tongue’s Sheath logo.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not yet confirmed that the Kobe 5 Protro “Lower Merion Aces (Away)” will be arriving next year.
