Nike Honors Gigi Bryant With "Mambacita" Jersey Collection
Ahead of her 19th birthday.
Following the celebration of Kobe Bryant‘s legacy on Mamba Day on April 13, Nike has released a new capsule collection honoring his daughter, Gianna Bryant. May 1st would have marked Gigi’s 19th birthday. In a bittersweet moment, the Swoosh is honoring the late Gianna with her own Mambacita jerseys.
While she would have been breaking ankles on the courts and perhaps even winning the NCAA championships at UConn, the Swoosh has prepared a set of home and away jerseys for her upcoming birthday. Nike and the Kobe Brand are releasing a black and white version featuring Mamba logo on the front and Gigi’s No. 2 and name on the front and back.
The “Mambacita” jersey will drop in line with the Kobe 9 Protro EM “Mambacita” on May 1 online. The jerseys are slated to retail for $120 USD each and will support the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
