WIND AND SEA Fashions the 'Final Fantasy XIV' Universe
Decorating hoodies, T-shirts, and tote bags with the Square Enix game’s signature characters and motifs.
WIND AND SEA, the fashion brainchild of Japanese stylist-photographer-director Takashi Kumagai, has partnered with Square Enix’s massive multiplayer online role-playing game, Final Fantasy XIV, to create an apparel collection inspired by the fan-favorite gaming title.
The collection ornaments classic WIND AND SEA hoodies, T-shirts, and tote bags with quintessential imagery and character-inspired illustrations from the video game. The Japanese streetwear brand’s graffiti-like lettering appears next to the Square Enix title’s quintessential branding on hoodies, while T-shirts pair the fashion imprint’s name with drawings of Final Fantasy‘s Clockwork Novus D and the game’s various animal heads. Totes, meanwhile, house the MMORPG’s signature iconography in both grey and black colorways.

The collaboration is the latest in the WIND AND SEA universe, following a turntable team-up with audio equipment brand Audio-Technica and a colorful capsule of co-branded goods with the American rock band, Grateful Dead.
The WIND AND SEA x Final Fantasy XIV collection will become available to shop online on March 25. The line will also be up for grabs at the brand’s Isetan Shinjuku pop-up this weekend. Take a look at the lineup in the gallery above.
