Volkswagen is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the ID. EVERY1 concept, a budget-friendly EV designed specifically for the European market. Set for a production launch in 2027 with a starting price of around €20,000 EUR ($21,600 USD), the ID. EVERY1 aims to make electric mobility more accessible to a wider audience.

The ID. EVERY1 is part of Volkswagen’s broader “Electric Urban Car Family,” which includes the ID. 2all — a slightly larger model launching in 2026 at a price point of under €25,000 EUR. Both vehicles are based on Volkswagen’s modular electric drive (MEB) platform with front-wheel drive, optimizing efficiency and interior space. The concept car features a compact 3,880 mm length, placing it between the now-discontinued up! city car and the current Polo. It offers seating for four and a 305-liter luggage capacity.

Equipped with a newly developed 70 kW (93 hp) electric motor, the ID. EVERY1 reaches a top speed of 80 mph and has an estimated range of at least 155 miles. Volkswagen is also introducing an advanced software architecture that will allow for over-the-air updates, ensuring the car remains technologically up-to-date throughout its lifespan.

Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer describes the ID. EVERY1 as the “last piece of the puzzle” in the brand’s plan to offer a fully diversified model lineup, ensuring every customer has access to an EV that suits their needs. “We will expand our position as the world’s leading volume manufacturer in terms of technology by 2030.”
