Ferrari has joined forces with Jony Ive‘s LoveFrom to develop the Ferrari Luce, the first fully electric model from the Italian auto purveyor. Unveiled in Rome today, the Luce rethinks Ferrari’s structural and aesthetic footprint, balancing high-performance motorsport engineering with a refined, Apple-esque design language.

Co-founded by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, LoveFrom worked alongside the Ferrari Style Centre to envision the wind-smoothened, continuous silhouette, prioritizing pure aerodynamics. The resulting form yields the lowest drag coefficient in Ferrari history. Furthermore, the exterior features active air shutters, center-opening doors, a floating nose, and a striking “flying bridge” C-pillar. The vehicle achieves an aggressive stance by keeping its center of gravity 95mm lower than the V12-powered Purosangue, despite its slightly longer build.

Beneath an all-aluminum body is the in-house developed 800V technical platform, integrating a 122-kWh battery pack as a core structural element of the chassis. Propulsion is driven by four F80-derived permanent magnet synchronous motors, sending a rear-biased 1,050 cv (1,035 hp) to the pavement. Finally, the front motors spin at 30,000 rpm, enabling an explosive 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in only 2.5 seconds, before maxing out at a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph).

Inside, the cabin completely reimagines luxury grand touring by stripping back unnecessary digital clutter in favor of visual harmony. Moving away from the clunky touchpads of other EVs, the LoveFrom-designed interior opts for mechanical switches, dials, and dual steering-mounted manettinos to toggle between Range, Tour, and Performance modes.

The Ferrari Luce drops in the fourth quarter of 2026 for European markets, with a US rollout scheduled for the second quarter of 2027 via official Ferrari retailers.
