Chappell Roan Debuts Country Anthem "The Giver"
Marking the GRAMMY winner’s first release of the year.

Chappell Roan has delivered her highly-anticipated country offering “The Giver” — marking her first release of the year and her first since “Good Luck Babe!”
Clocking in at almost three-and-a-half minutes, the cut hears Roan sing about dedication and dominance with a Midwestern darling twang over fiddle-filled production. “I have such a special place in my heart for country music. I grew up listening to it every morning and afternoon on my school bus and had it swirling around me at bon fires, grocery stores and karaoke bars,” she said in a statement.
Roan continued, “Many people have asked if this means I’m making a country album??? My answer is.. right now I’m just making songs that make me feel happy and fun and The Giver is my take on cuntry xoxo may the classic country divas lead their genre, I am just here to twirl and do a little gay yodel for y’all.”
The 27-year-old is fresh off her GRAMMY win for Best New Artist; she was also nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Good Luck Babe!” as well as Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
