Brigade SS25 Bridges NYC and Japan

The first installment of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection also continues to play with Puerto Rican and Dominican design influences.

Brigade‘s first Spring/Summer 2025 drop is here. Though based in New York City – and heavily influenced by its home city’s cream of the cultural crop – Brigade is looking beyond the five boroughs for the first installment of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, lifting inspiration from founder Aaron Maldonado’s travels throughout Japan over the last decade.

The brand – founded by both Aaron and Sarah Maldonado – also radiantly revels in its Puerto Rican and Dominican roots across most of its garments, a theme that’s once again prominent in the brand’s latest delivery. The Young Lords polo shirt features silhouettes sourced from Puerto Rican Young Lords marches of the past, while the Lares button-up shirt sees the first flag of Puerto Rico is screenprinted in the middle, and “There is a war going on outside” is written across another camo graphic tee.

As Maldonado told us in his Hypebeast Community Center interview, “making NYC proud is priority #1,” a sentiment that still shines through the range despite the array of other style influences scattered throughout. Jewlery motifs are prominent in the form of trompe l’oeil Jesus chain detailing, while Chinatown’s energy is emulated across a handful of dragon motifs and logos.

Explore the full first delivery of Brigade’s Spring/Summer 2025 offering in the lookbook above and shop the range now at the label’s official webstore.
