adidas added Climacool technology to its arsenal of performance specifications in 2002. The special cooling system ensures that clothing and footwear offer ample ventilation, often leveraging a breathable mesh at the upper of sneakers that maintains a snug fit while preserving airflow. Its latest use case of the tech is on the all-new adidas Climacool Vento 4.0.
Our first look at the Climacool Vento 4.0 sees it presented in a shimmering silver that combines with black to deliver contrast across its build. While we lack an official breakdown of the model’s technical details, several key elements are communicated in this initial set of visuals. The Climacool upper — which is noted at the tongue text — is joined by BOOST that runs from the toe to the heel, poking out from the unique midsole structure. The Three Stripes are present at the midfoot in typical adidas fashion as its classic logo can be spotted at the heel and sockliner in black.
At the time of writing, adidas has not officially announced the introduction of the new Climacool Vento 4.0 silhouette. Stay tuned for updates, including the reveal of additional colorways, as this initial silver look is said to be debuting exclusively in China this April via adidas at a not-yet-disclosed price point.
