Dime Unveils adidas Gazelle ADVs Decorated With Studded Stripes
Set for release in March in a duo of black and maroon colorways, the Montreal-based skate brand reimagines adidas’s retro classic.

Montreal-based skate brand Dime has unveiled yet another sneaker collaboration, reuniting with long-time partner adidas for a reimagined Gazelle ADV. Having already tweaked the Superstar, the Stan Smith, and adidas ADI2000, Dime departs from the Gazelle’s traditional look with elegantly applied Punk sensibilities.
While the Dime Gazelle ADV’s black colorway began circulating online ahead of the announcement, a maroon variant has also appeared on the adidas web store, bringing a bolder alternative to the line-up. Both colorways are designed with premium leather and synthetic uppers atop a solid black rubber outsole. For a monochromatic effect, laces match neatly with the shade of the uppers and embossed branding is shown on the tongue. The new model centers on eye-catching but quiet silver studs where the stripe overlays normally reside. Aligning with the studs, Dime’s cursive wordmark is applied with chrome foil on the lateral panel and on the patent leather heel patch.

While the Gazelle ADV is a model that adidas often designs with suede, Dime’s special edition elevates the style with its smooth leather, metal embellishments, and glossy accents. The monochromatic character of the sneaker evokes a similar aesthetic to Dime’s recent Merrell 1TRL Moc Speed Streak, offered in a black colorway with patent leather overlays, and its all-black Vans Mixxa with skater Una Farrar.
The Dime adidas Gazelle ADV is set for release on the adidas web store on March 1 for $110 USD.
