What Went Down at The Macallan’s Sip-and-Create Soirée

The Macallan Edit, Curated by Hypebeast, was a weekend-long party series that kicked off on December 12. For the second rendition of the Edit, The Macallan hosted a Sip-and-Create activation at NYC’s Pearl Box in collaboration with designer Maxwell Osborne. The event spotlighted The Macallan’s Timeless Collection, presenting an assortment of fine-aged whisky spanning 12 to 30 years.
The Public School co-founder and founder of anOnlyChild met up with the prestigious whisky brand to lead a customization workshop during the event. Bridging the realms of design and craftsmanship, Osborne’s expertise and NYC-bred sensibilities inspired guests to create special keepsakes for themselves or friends and family while enjoying the vintage, cozy ambiance of the Pearl Box in a modern lounge experience. Attendees were presented with keychain flasks to customize at dedicated engraving and workshop stations, including festive arrays of decorative decals, ribbons, charms, and NYC-inspired accents.
The night presented the perfect opportunity to survey The Macallan’s exceptional whisky portfolio, with bespoke stationery and monogram stations to top off on-site purchases. With specialty cocktails and neat pours in rotation, guests also enjoyed a dopamine-inducing DJ set by Stonie Blue and savory small plates prepared by the Pearl Box. Curated seating, stunning bouquets and glass displays transformed the SoHo bar, presenting the Timeless Collection alongside zines, books and vinyl to illuminate the city’s vibrant energy and cultural prowess.
A toast to the holiday season, The Macallan Edit treated the city’s tastemakers, whisky enthusiasts, fashion-minded guests, and those on the hunt for a thoughtful gift to a one-of-a-kind retail and lounge soirée.
