Following the re-release of the OG colorways of the 2002R “Protection Pack” earlier this year, New Balance is set to introduce three new monochromatic Gore-Tex iterations. This update brings fresh color options and enhanced functionality to the popular series.

The latest Gore-Tex “Protection Pack” will first arrive in a light grey colorway, a distinctive take on the brand’s signature OG grey. This iteration also features the pack’s recognizable jagged overlays, crafted from tonal suede and leather. Intriguing accents are added by pops of pale blue, dark grey and tan in the sole unit, complementing the overall minimal palette. Notably, the other two colorways also maintain a grey leather base. The black pair offers a “Triple Black” aesthetic, giving it a stealthy edge that complements the utility-focused Gore-Tex construction. In contrast, the last pair embraces a fall/winter-ready wheat colorway, ideal for seasonal styling.

Although the exact release date is unconfirmed, these three new additions to the New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex “Protection Pack” are anticipated to launch in Spring 2026. Check out the first look above.
