  • Preston stated that the inverted Orange Label was “born in defiance” and is now a symbol of perseverance, resilience, and the artist reinventing the system

Heron Preston is reclaiming his narrative, announcing the official relaunch of his independent namesake label. This monumental event follows the designer’s move earlier this year which led him to securing full and exclusive ownership of his name and related trademarks from the New Guards Group Holding, setting the stage for a fully autonomous creative endeavor.

The inaugural output of this new chapter is titled “Foundation: Blue Line Edit,” a conceptual return to the label’s roots and a symbolic re-birth. Eschewing the format of a conventional seasonal runway show, this project is structured as a small-batch edit, prioritizing essential structures over formal collections. The new distribution model will see products released continuously in succinct “blocks” of seven pieces, beginning with Block 1 on December 9 and swiftly followed by Block 2 on December 11.

Central to this relaunch is the presence of the inverted Orange Label. Born in defiance, this refreshed marking serves as a powerful emblem of the brand’s renewed spirit, symbolizing. In his own words, Preston gave deep personal context to the brand’s revitalized emblem, recalling how in “2017 my whole life changed. I was young, hungry, broke, and trusting. Overnight, I felt myself losing control, my freedom, my very own name…Today, my orange label stands for more than a product line. It represents perseverance, freedom, resilience and never giving up. It’s proof that when systems try to limit the artist, the artist will reinvent the system.” This move confirms Heron Preston’s absolute commitment to defining the future of his label on his own terms.
