Com2uS has announced the development of a survival action RPG based on Gachiakuta, set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Titled Gachiakuta: The Game, the project was revealed immediately following the conclusion of the anime’s first season. The RPG aims to capture the gritty atmosphere of Kei Urana’s manga and its anime adaptation, immersing players in a world where discarded trash breeds monstrous creatures. The game’s tagline, “Crawl back from the abyss of Hell to change this lousy world,” reflects its focus on survival, combat, and narrative depth.
The Gachiakuta manga, launched in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2022, follows Rudo, a boy wrongfully exiled into a wasteland filled with dangerous trash beasts, where he joins the Cleaners to fight for survival and justice. Its anime adaptation, produced by Bones, premiered in July 2025 and streamed globally via Crunchyroll, concluding with 24 episodes in December. The upcoming RPG builds on this momentum, offering fans a chance to explore the series’ dystopian setting interactively. With its combination of survival mechanics, action-driven gameplay, and narrative ties to the source material, Gachiakuta: The Game is positioned as a major expansion of the franchise’s reach into gaming.
