The final chapter of the Kaiju No. 8 anime, the “Conclusion Arc,” has been officially confirmed to be in development. The announcement took place during the Jump Festa ‘26 event, accompanied by a new teaser trailer that signals the beginning of the popular series’ closure.

The trailer sets a high-stakes tone, showcasing a fierce new wave of Kaiju invasions that leaves the Japan Defense Force (JDF) struggling against the relentless onslaught. The footage culminates with the main characters calling out to the protagonist, Kafka Hibino, placing their final hopes on their most formidable ally.

First premiered in April 2024, the series introduces audiences to Kafka, a 32-year-old stuck in a dead-end job cleaning up Kaiju remains. His life changed forever when a small creature entered his body, granting him the ability to transform into a powerful humanoid monster, Kaiju No. 8. This newfound power finally allowed him to pursue his lifelong dream of joining the JDF to combat the Kaiju threat.

Alongside the final arc reveal, a new anime short titled Narumi’s Weekday was also announced. While specific details remain scarce, the short is expected to offer a glimpse into the daily life of Gen Narumi, the First Division Captain of JDF and Japan’s strongest anti-Kaiju combatant. Fans can watch the new trailer above for a first look at the series’ epic conclusion.
