Summary

  • BAPE opened its first all-white concept store at 1881 Heritage, Hong Kong
  • The location also introduces the BAPE CAFE!?, marking the brand’s first full-service dining concept in the city
  • The store opened on October 25, but the café will unveil December 12

BAPE has inaugurated a landmark retail space in Hong Kong, unveiling its first-ever all-white concept store and café at the historic 1881 Heritage in Tsim Sha Tsui. This new space signifies a bold evolution of the brand’s retail identity, consciously departing from its traditional, vibrant camouflage aesthetic. The two-floor store occupies a prominent position within the main building, respectfully integrating its contemporary design with the site’s colonial architecture.

The interior design executes a dramatic shift, utilizing a pristine, minimalist all-white color palette across both floors. This stark, monochromatic approach provides a fresh, gallery-like backdrop that intentionally highlights luxury materials, detailed craftsmanship and allows BAPE’s colorful products to shine. Featuring white marble and premium finishes, the aesthetic successfully contrasts BAPE’s street origins with a refined, high-end architectural vision.

The introduction of the BAPE CAFE!? on the first floor is a unique feature for this Hong Kong location. The café, accessed via an exclusive white marble staircase, mirrors the store’s simplicity with a sleek, minimalist all-white interior that maximizes light and space. This venture marks BAPE’s first full-service dining concept within a Hong Kong store. Produced by FLIPPER’S, a popular Japanese chain known for their uber fluffy soufflé pancakes, the BAPE CAFE!? offers gourmet coffees, exclusive BAPE-themed dishes and bespoke beverages, ensuring the brand’s presence extends into high-end hospitality and solidifying the store as a cultural destination.

To commemorate the launch, BAPE released a limited-edition collection exclusive to the 1881 Heritage store, embracing the white theme. The BAPE STORE® 1881 HERITAGE officially opened its doors on October 25, 2025, with the café set to unveil on December 12.
