Summary

  • San Lò is a new brand from Puglia, Italy, creating furniture that combines Italian tradition with modernist aesthetics
  • Their first collection is a range of sofas in bold hues and fabrics

In the heart of the southern Italian region of Puglia, a new brand is working alonside artisans to craft objects that reflect the country’s design traditions with “new creative perspectives”.

Named San Lò, the label was founded by young entrepreneur’s Anna and Lucrezia Losacco, who utilise their family’s workshop to create their collections.

For their first launch, they chose to focus on the sofa. “Entering the residential sofa sector, where standardization is common, San Lò aims to be daring by combining minimalist lines with extraordinary fabric research,” they say. “The result is products that are never banal and always rich in personality.”

It’s true. Despite it being simple in form, the use of fabric across the collection ensures there is an option for a variation of tastes. For those looking for something that stands out, there’s bold checks, and for on the more subtle side are a range of solid colours. Both options come paired with a wooden base that is stained in different hues.

“The collection explores the bond between personal identity and collective memory, bringing to life sofas that feel familiar from the very first glance, like a place you have always belonged to,” the founders add.

“Through spontaneous lines and extraordinary fabrics, San Lò turns design into emotion: timeless pieces that are not just part of your home, but part of your story.”

The San Lò sofa collection begins at €1,750 (approximately $2,015 USD). Head to the brand’s website to find out more.
